1MDB RE: Request for Bandar Malaysia's proposal is underway

1MDB Real Estate Sdn Bhd (herein after 1MDB RE), is the master developer for mega project in Kuala Lumpur, Bandar Malaysia, is expressing intention to launch the Request for Proposal for Bandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd on June 22, to select qualified investors to partner with it in the overall development of Bandar Malaysia.

The unit of 1MDB also announced that it was seeking development partners to participate in the 197-hectare project.


Bandar Malaysia is a mixture urban development that is expected to serve as catalyst for the transformation of Greater Kuala Lumpur. Following is the brief introduction on Bandar Malaysia development.

Bandar Malaysia is one of the twin projects of 1MDB RE, including Tun Razak Exchange (TRX). It is believed that Bandar Malaysia is "building blocks" to help shape Kuala Lumpur as a robust global city destination for investors and tourists alike.

Bandar Malaysia, has a 495-acre of land, located just three kilometres away from TRX as well as Bukit Bintang City Centre. To be exact, the old airport along Jalan Sungai Besi will be converted to Bandar Malaysia.
